PROCUREMENT OF MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT

International Competive Bidding

 

The government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a loan from the Kuwait Funds for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) for the Development of Kaluganga Project and it is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan be applied to eligible payments under the Contract for Procurement of Machinery and Equipment

 

On behalf of the Chairman, Ministry Procurement Committee, Ministry of Agriculture Development and Agrarian Services, sealed bids will be received by the Director General, Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka (MASL), 9th Floor, No. 500, T.B. Jayah Mawatha, Colombo 10 up to  10.00 hrs.  on 17 December 2009 for the Procurement of following Machinery & Equipment for the Kaluganga Development Project.

Prospective Bidders may apply for the Bidding Documents by written request on a company/firm letter head, addressed to the Executive Director (Technical Services), Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka, 3rd Floor, No. 500, T.B. Jayah Mawatha, Colombo 10.  from 16 November 2009 up to 16 December 2009  from 09.30 hrs to 15.00 hrs on working days, on payment of a  non- refundable tender fee of Rs.5000/- per set of Bidding Document.

 

Bidding documents may be inspected free of charge at the office of Executive Director (Technical Services), Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka, 3rd Floor, No. 500, T.B. Jayah Mawatha, Colombo 10 on normal working days from  16 November 2009  up to 16 December 2009   from 09.30 hrs to 16.00 hrs.

 

 

 

 

Sealed Bids in duplicate may be dispatched either by Registered Post or hand delivered to the office of Director General, Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka, 9th Floor, No. 500, T.B. Jayah Mawatha, Colombo 10 before the closing time of specified date of submission. Bids will be opened immediately thereafter. Bidders or their authorised representatives, not exceeding two (2) in number are requested to be present at the opening of tenders.
